YVC Youth Volunteer Corps (6th-12)

YVC is a great opportunity to serve your school and community while earning service hours that can be applied to a community service endorsement on your diploma when you graduate high school.  Students earn service hours by volunteering in the community and at school.  Students volunteer at Fall Festival, help elementary teachers during the Christmas program, cleaning up around campus, making cards for Veterans Day to deliver to veterans, make Christmas cards for the nursing homes and much more.  Volunteering is a great way to give back to your school and community and learn life lessons along the way such as stewardship, empathy, leadership, and teamwork.  YVC is sponsored by the Rapides Foundation and there is no membership fee to join.

Students in grades 8-12 are able to sign up at the beginning of the school year by completing a membership form.  Students must sign up before September 25th.  Meetings are held once a month on club days.
